Tim Davis provides good sales suggestions in this video. But the reason I’ve posted it here in “Over the Shoulder” instead of “Sales Training”, is that I wanted to give you an example of something you can do with your marketing list.
Ask your list if they have any questions about what’s going on in the market currently. When you get a couple of questions, do a short video and answer them in 2-3 minutes. Then send that video out to your list.
It will do several things for you;
1. It will remind your list that you are an expert in the industry
2. It will remind them that you’re still in business.
3. It will provide “social proof” that other people turn to you for their mortgage questions.
Also when you watch this video, he gives a couple of good suggestions on how to give away books and how to work with HR departments in businesses.

In this video, Tim talks about the importance of having a system in your business. By taking the time now and making a step by step plan for what you want to do, you’ll not only dramatically increase your income, but you’ll accomplish your goals in less time, with less hassle. Enjoy the video.
I posted this video for two reasons. First, they’re using video to market and promote their services. Second, their videos are FILLED with recorded testimonials of happy clients. If you want to provide credibility to your efforts, it’s hard to beat the social proof of a good recorded testimonial.
I was really torn between which category this video should go in. But I finally decided that this was the right place. If you can have some fun with video in your business, you’ll keep your name out there and have consistent business.
Here is a video produced by a loan officer. She made this video to invite financial planners to a luncheon.
I contacted her after the luncheon to see how the movie worked for her. She told me that she sent it to around 35 people and had about a dozen RSVP for the lunch and another half a dozen want the information, but couldn’t attend.
As you can see, this is a basic clip, with no fantsy editing or effects. But it was VERY effective in getting her message to a good group of potential referral partners.
